Adventure Sports in Recovery

Adventure Sports and Activities

Experts in addiction recovery agree that the process of recovery begins with physical recovery, then mental recovery, and then finally spiritual recovery. As an aside, when someone relapses, the process is lost in reverse – first the spirit, then mental abilities, and finally physical abilities.  Thus, the physical condition of each person is paramount, and yet, few, if any, treatment programs devote much time or attention to the physical recovery of the individual.

At Sea Of Solutions, each client is provided with a personal fitness trainer three (3) times a week and is asked to select one or more adventure sport(s) or activity(ies) that will capture his or her imagination and enthusiasm.  These activities include the following:

Bird Watching, Boot Camp Training, Bowling, Bungee Jumping, Bicycling, Climbing Wall, Dolphin Watch Sailing, Equestrian Sports, Fishing, Gardens/Nature Walks, Golf, Hiking, Horseback Riding, Jet Skiing, Kayaking & Canoeing, Kite-Boarding, Meditation, MMA – Mixed Martial Arts, Qigong, Rock Climbing, Running, Sailing, Scuba Diving/Snorkeling, Shelling, Sky Diving, Snorkeling, Spinning, SUP - Stand Up Paddle-boarding, Surfing, Swimming, Tai Chi, Tennis, Walking, Waterskiing & Wave Boarding, Weight Training, Windsurfing, Yoga, and Zip-line Ropes Courses.

  1. Of course, you can also use a cable connection to see what is going on, and there is no reason that you shouldn't be able to watch the game on both these platforms as well. Source for more about NFL streams.
